Masters of Delay Disaster has struck the Cybercamp after it was revealed today that the bands latest album has had to be delayed due to the master nanodrives being lost during the bands recent lucky escape from the Perpetuity disaster.'Cosmic' Ray Lightwave said "Ok, so we lost some instruments and some nanodrives but those tracks have evolved and we still have the original session masters so it's just a case of getting back in the studio and re-recording everything". He went on to add "It's sort of cool really to think that there are these little pods floating around space with our music on them." Needless to say the Cyber controllers (aka the bands management company) are not so impressed and have been holding emergency talks all day. Also we expect there will be some disappointed fans out there and the Rebel Rockers are surely not going to let this go by without comment Can You Help? If you happen to be cruising around the galaxy why not keep your eyes open for the bands nanodrives.Unfortunately the chances of them being discovered are one in three hundred and sixty-six trillion according to our research team. However the band say that the drives are programmed to return to Earth using customised Sinjer technology. "The sinjers are great. They can lock onto nearby droids and ships and inject instructions to eventually transport the drives back to Earth" said Ray. |
New Instruments Are Winners CyberCorp shares soared yesterday shortly after they confirmed the release of a whole new range of digital synthesisers at the "Sonic Foundry" (SF) music show. Their new Retorca, (a breath controlled mono-synth similar to an antique Harmonica) which has the capacity to store 2,000 virtual voices was very well received. It promises revolutionary control over every aspect of the synthesised sounds. Also their new percussion synth with laser hollography, The "Cozies" acheived equal praise from percussionists. The system comprises 2 reactive drum-sticks and a control centre which projects the hollographic drum studio and monitors the seizmic zones for percussion hits. Random limiters allow percussionists to emulate analog drumkits from the 20th century with automatic variation of pitch and level for any drum voice they choose to use. Cybercorp are also releasing new versions of their ever-popular string synth and "Cybergroove" bass synth. There are also rumours of a forthcoming "SpaceFX" module; which promises to emulate 20th century sci-fi sounds used on early Television broadcasts from around that time. Rumours of the Sonic Injecta or "Sinja" were quoshed as there was no evidence on show at SF. This may be due to problems obtaining a Universal Safety License (USL) for the device. Officials at the show refused to comment but we're sure we haven't heard the last about this handy device. |
